U are awesome! The greatest irony of talkbass is that if all the folks who spend hours debating strings, pickups, string tension, amp + cab pairings etc... Spent half of that time improving their musical knowledge and technique...everyone one would be asking them what kind of strings they used, amp they played thru etc...everytime they played! The better you get, the more people want to ask you about your gear at gigs...I say the better you get, the better your gear sounds. Thanks for keeping the focus on 'the real' gear enhancer...skillful knowledge and technique applied. |

But in my defense I've used the same amp for the last 6 years and I have NO idea what strings I use... never mind what gauge lol!
Hey check out the forum tonight coz i'm going to be posting up a great tutorial on 'good and bad phrasing - what it is and how to practice it'.

I'm glad I found your videos. Nice, approachable, practical.

| | | | Scott,
I enjoyed your tutorials. I've seen at least 5 of them over the past month or so, and I like the way you break the concepts down into easily understandable pieces. Keep up the good work.
I'll be making a donation to support your ongoing efforts in supplying quality bass tutorials.
