Just buy some Jamey Aebersold play alongs. They cover just about every jazz tune written. They sell them at Sam Ash or you can get them off his site.

I have a couple I posted on my blog that are bass-centric in that there is no bass on them, so you can do whatever you want.

All the ii-v's
Jeff Berlin's Blues Progression
C Minor Blues
And TrueFire has a butt load at their site, some are really corny but there are few that are okay.

Free Jam Tracks - TrueFire

The Abersold stuff is good, but these days Band-In-A-Box gets my nod. If you add a good software synth to it you basically have any kind of jam track you could ever want ever in any style.

Dude your blog rules!

im also confused on your 2 5 1 stuff... there is a note called the #7.... is that a sharp 7th? wouldnt that be the root?

i dont know how to read music but i guess now is a good time to start...

Also call me crazy but on your 2 5 1 that changes keys alot i just straight up try to solo through the whole thing without looking at the chart... to see if i can mix and weave my way into a nice solo... playing alot of wrong notes ofcourse...

Well, thanks my bass playing compadre!

Uh, not sure about where the #7 thing is...but usually that would mean a major 7, so in the key of C it would be a B, as apposed to a flatted 7 or Bb. But..it kinda depends on the context. Sounds like it is describing maybe a minor chord, but one that doesn't have a flatted 7, so a kind of chord called a minor/major7 where it would be - C Eb G and B. Sometimes since in a minor chord that 7 is supposed to be flatted to be Bb, that kind of seventh gets called a "sharp 7".

But like I said, I would have to see the context, so put in a link or send me a message with it if you want.

Are you talking about the "F#7"? That is an F# chord with a dominant 7 (F# A# C# E), not an F chord with a #7. In other words, it is F# 7, not F #7.

I added a one-chord A minor loop for your soloing pleasure.

It's just drums, and chords so you can go nuts.

Download away and drop into anything that can seamlessly loop for hours of fun in A minor.

Doh. Guess I over-thunk the answer.

Yea, what he said, its just a chord built on the note F#, so its F# invisible comma 7, not F invisible comma #7.

Sorry if my answer was overly confusing down there..rattling on like that. Geez.
