JTE did address this. I find it to be an interesting hybrid scale. First half of the scale being minor, second half major. Very cool! I worked on this harmonization and it brought another question to my mind. If I'm playing a scale other than C Major or A minor would the harmonization of that scale be made up of the notes within that particular scale also or would the chords follow the same construction as in the C Major and/or A minor scales?

All majors, minors, and modes thereof will have the same pattern if moved to a different key. A major and F#major will have the same intervals. Something like a harmonic minor results from modifying the scale, in this case raising the 7th interval. Does that make sense?

Yep, perfectly. Thanks!

Keep in mind that if you do use the meldoic minor form of a scale (raised 6th and 7th), that (technically...) it reverts to its natural state on the way back down the scale.

So....

a minor: A B C D E F# G# A then... A G F E D C B A

Odd, eh?
It can make the chord structure seem a bit waffly when your F major VI chords vanish and an F# diminished vi pops up out of nowhere. Wee!

Ah yes, very interesting! I'll bet it sounds really cool too! I'll play around with that!
