Sorry guys.. It's just pinch harmonics. I guess I had never heard it on bass so it just didn't register. I apologize.

It's essentially just touching the string to produce a harmonic, but right after the string has been attacked.

It's a technique used (mainly by guitarists but also by bassists) to create that sharp wailing sound out of their instruments I've always thought it sounded cool but I've never mastered the technique.
