what duck done book

anyone own this book?just wondering what the consensus on this book is and if it's recommended for the intermediate player?thanks

I have it. If you want/need a collection of Duck transcriptions, there ya go...

I bought it because a lot of those tunes get called on my gigs all the time and it was easier than rounding up all the CDs and learning all the parts by ear.

Duck's parts are pretty simple, the quirks are mostly rhythmic so even a beginner could work out of this book (if they can read notation...there's no tab).

I found the book to be useful as a practice tool and for learning how to construct bass lines. It's just sheet music and recordings. Simple but sweet. If you like Duck Dunn then I'd say go for it. Duck Dunn is a great player but I'm not personally inspired by him so I don't use it as much as I could.

My 2 cents.
