What was the first song you tried to learn on bass?

Aside from the crap on like the demo cd and not one that your teacher taught you, unless it really influenced your playing.

Mine was Muse - Fury.

Wow I'm much older because mine was Chameleon from Herbie Hancock.

Great bass riff that was played on a keyboard for the main riff,

;-)

Almost all of Dookie from Green Day. Me and my buddies would get together and we learned almost all that album and that's how I learned how to play. Then I went on to Iron Maiden and that really set me off.

I thinking you can get a pretty good clue on the persons age by seeing what they played first heh.

Did you know that the second half of the bass solo is actually the tape played backward?

I think it was "Longview" by Greenday.

Way back when I was heavily into that music.

It was either "Wrath Child" by Iron Maiden or "Breaking the Law" by Judas Priest.
