What is G# standard tuning?

I need to tune my bass that low. I just need to know the letters so I can tune it.

It goes up in fourths, so G#, C#, F#, B on a four-string.

I actually meant to put a 5 string bass. So I'm guessing E would be the highest string, right? What gauge set should I use for this tuning? I know I'm going to have to make some adjustments as well.

If its a 5 string, I would do it like this:

D#, G#, C#, F#, B#

Basically tuning down a half step with a E-C string set.

Circle K Strings

For G# C# F# B E I'd say either...

.158 .118 .088 .064 .046

or...

.166 .124 .092 .068 .049.

Correct. That's how I would do it unless you need something lower than the G#.
basically that's C# std with a low B string. The Pantera tuning for FBD onward.

Circle Ks are a good bet. Check the tension chart.
