I played a really old Fender Bullet Bass Deluxe, and had a Peavey stack.
Now, obviously, I've moved up to higher-end gear. Marco & Epifani, here I come!

Shortly after that an absolutely brutal BC Rich warlock P and a Yorkville 1x15 Combo.
My first real bass was (and still is) a Fender Precision Lyte Deluxe.
Funny thing is, now 10 years later, every time I go home I love playing that Fender amp.

i started out on the cheapest ibanez possible, the single crappy can opener pickup and 18 frets, not to mention the nut was broken and i had it replaced it with a nut super huge, so i had to fret strings like they were two inches above the frets
and an old sock drawer guitar amp as an amp lol
i'm so glad those days are over

My Jetglo 4001 and a Peavey 115 combo.
Bought from Biasco Music in Chicago, IL.
I figured if I had a great bass, then if I wasn't playing good, I couldn't blame that on the bass. The old Peavey still works great, but I need a new 15" BW for it. The old one is blown. It's a nice practice amp.

So she bought me a 1963 fender jazz and a fender bassman with the matching 2X12 cab. She payed $300 for the whole rig. This was in 1969, I was in 9th grade. Wish I still had that rig.

It was big and heavy and had a single 15. Seems like it sounded ok but I probably wasn't very discerning then. |

| | | | A borrowed '90s yamaha BB series bass and a fender sidekick bass 50 amp. I got my own amp 2 months later and 4 months after that my own bass. |

Amp: Sunn 300 watt (pretty sure it was 300W and was the model a step down from the Coliseum) with the matching cab, which for the life of me I cannot remember what was in it: 2x15, 4x12? I have completely forgotten.
Wish I had it all back dang it!!!!!!!!

I went to Ault's Music in FT. Worth and with a surprise subsidy to my Summer job money (thanks Mom!) I was the proud owner of a Kalamazoo Mother of Particleboard EBO copy (made in USA) and a Gibson Thor Bass Amp with 40 watts and 2 10" speakers-all tube. I still have the bass-it needs some strings but she's good to go any time. Ironically, I've endorsed Eden amplifiers since 1996 and my cabinets of choice have-you guessed it-2 10" speakers.
