I'm in the process of learning to read (I'm almost out of Kindergarden!), and I'd like some sheet music to study. Is there anywhere on the web where I can find free sheet music to download and practice reading on? Early elementary school-level would be good at this point!

Certainly not elementary reading but worth checking out at a later stage maybe or just for the melodic content if you don't mind slogging through material slowly.

Sorry to be harsh, but how about supporting your local sheet music store by actually buying some music? Most published sheet music is very affordable, and you can browse through it first to find something appealing.
And no, I don't run a music store. |

And no, I don't run a music store. | +1 Just spent a whole 5 dollars at a sheet music store for Volume 4 with 14 performances by Carol Kaye. Lot's to choose from at a good store and most folios are cheap, it's the pop stuff you shouldn't have to read and celebrity folios that are so expensive.
Plus, if you lay out some change you WILL read or you wasted money.

Cello and trombone books are great for learning to read a constant flow of rhythms and quick note recognition but some standards are nice just to mix it up a bit. Store's here in South Africa don't stock good bass material and it's actually cheaper for me to buy on Amazon than it is to get the local stores to import for me.
I'm waiting for my Shadows of Motown to arrive but the Carol Kaye books are next. I tend to buy all my music but sometimes an online resource will have a useful tidbit. But as you say, spend money and you WILL read. I downloaded Teen Town years ago and still haven't bothered to see if what I figured out by ear matches the music p.s. I still can't play it either.

And no, I don't run a music store. | I havn't seen a sheet music store since 1971. There used to be a big one on Ste.Catherine Street in Downtown Montreal, but I'll be damned if I know what happened to it. Maybe today it's a Burger King or something!
Good idea, anyways. I'll keep my eyes open.
