Gentlemen,
I just purchased this book. Is anyone familiar with it?!?! Has anyone had success with it?!?! I have a question regarding the scales or choice of scales in it. The author says it is a complete tool for Jazz improvisation or learning how to turn scales into music (the latter being the reason that I purchased it). Now, what I found that was interesting is that he does not touch the wholetone scales, pentatonic scales, half diminished scales or even arpeggios ... he does go thoroughly through the modes, diminished, harmonic and melodic modes (I don't think the Natrual Minor is there). Is there a reason for this?!?! Are these the pertinent scales for a complete jazz player?!?!
