Classified Bump Policy
 

It is of my opinion that the moderators need to take a second look on how the rules for bumping an ad conflict on how it is being enforced. The rule reads:

"No more than one bump per 24 hour period"

By definition the term "period" would indicate this meant per day. As it is being enforced now the moderators are interpreting to mean that one must wait 24 hours to bump.

To lillustrate my point;

A sporting event where there are 2 "periods" of 20 minutes each. Each team is allowed one timeout per 20 minute "period". Which means that anytime within that "period" the team may use its timeout, regardless if it is at the end or beginning of the period.

IMO this rule needs to be followed as it is worded, or reworded to reflect the enforcement.

The bump policy also states that previous bumps are supposed to be cleaned up, but that rarely happens. There are a number of classifieds out there with multiple bumps over many days. It's not hard to clean up the bumps, just delete your previous bump posts. Makes for a cleaner thread and makes your sale seem less "desperate".

The intent of the rule is that bumps must be at least 24 hours apart. Yes, bumps shoudl be deleted. If you see them not deleted, or bumps less than 24 hours apart, please use the red 'report post' triangle and they will be dealt with
