Classified gripe

Am I the only one that gets annoyed by ads that say:
-"You know what it's for"
-"You know what it does"
-"If you are reading this then you know what it is"

No, actually I don't know. I am not a catalog of gear....although almost.....but a good description will go a long way.

I would do that for something that is heavily talked about on the forums. Say a Boss OC-2, TU-2, SansAmp BDDI, or similar. But in the future I'll provide a link to the manufacturer's page even for those. Actually, I probably won't on second thought. If someone knows what the product is, there is far less chance of them filing a claim with PayPal that the tone isn't what they expected or something like that. I guess I'd prefer to sell to someone that knows what they're getting. Yes, I've had issues in the past with someone who thought the OC-2 should track anything he played and he said it was defective.

Just an opinion...

I agree with the OP. At least copy & Paste the Specs from the Manufacturers web site for things like amps & Effects pedals etc... Yes I can google it real quick and check but it's nice when it's right there in the AD

Cyber, I don't need specs, just a quick description. Most people, in fact, don't know 'what it does' all the time.
