I reallllly wish there was a button......
That after 5 TBers hit it that it would close that thread. I just searched for 'jazz' in the 'FS: Accessories' forum for some pickguards and pups and 5 out of the first 6 threads I clicked in were the items were sold but the thread not closed. Very annoying. Ok, rant over.
Or maybe have 5 TBers that could have only the right to close threads like that?
Or a "Request Closed" button that would notify the mods? (That isn't really what "Report Post" is for so I don't want to report them...I know the mods have enough to do)
Agreed. I especially like the 'Request Closed' Button; great idea!
Edit: I know mine are 'on hold', so they're not closed, but once they ARE sold, I do close my threads. I hope my thread wasn't one of the offending 5.
If closing the thread isn't tied in with the feedback system, it ought to be, and 'should' be pretty easy... When both buyer and seller have posted feedback - ta da - database trigger can close the thread. And since all feedback posts contain the URL for the thread, even easier.
Yes, I am aware some 'For Sale' threads list multiple items so you'd never really know when the 'last' feedback was posted. I didn't say it was foolproof...
Maybe just auto-generate PM's for the OP every 30 days: "Are you ready to close this thread yet?"
