Heaven forbid you should have to delete a message. It is so much work.

Banned for a week? That's too lenient.

I say we ... Pee-wee's Big Adventure - I say we kill him! - YouTube

Got a PM from a noobie? Just mouse over to the delete button and click. It takes a few seconds, what's so hard about that?

I understand there is common sense that dictates one shouldn't PM a seller about a closed thread, but there's common sense and then there's how things are often really done. Yes, you shouldn't PM someone whose item is sold, but many people do and there is no real way mods could give out infractions for every person who does. The only real way to fix this issue is to learn how to be a patient TB seller. If you take the advice I've given then you won't stress out about a few silly PMs and you'll find your experience in the TB classifieds to much more rewarding than the alternative (CL, Ebay, etc...).

There are how things are supposed to work and then there's how they actually work. You can stomp your feet all you want about it but it's not likely to change anytime soon.

How bleepin' hard is it to scroll to the bottom, see it is sold, and forget about it?

I just got word from the mods today that anyone PMing sellers about items that have already been sold (and their threads closed), thus causing them irreparable harm and undue aggravation, will receive an infraction and be forced to fry bacon with no shirt on.

Wow...jmattbassplaya, you seem very passionate about this.
I just wanted to vent my frustration at people not following our community RULES and so wasting mine and others time.
If I sell someting I try to keep it clear..informative..helpful..and have a good picture on the ad face. and of course uncluttered with personal bumps.
If someone sends a pm after I have sold an item I am not offended and am encouraged that what I was selling is still wanted.

Now...I do wish people would follow the TB request and LEAVE THE PRICE on the ad, so everyone can guage a fair market value in future sales

If a thread is closed it shows proper courtesy and also let's me know I don't need to bother even clicking on to scroll to the bottom! It's just the right thing to do as a seller. I wish people understood that. TB is pretty awesome mostly however, some people (not specific to anyone) can be a bit selfish.
