Your points are definitely lost on me. This could have been prevented had you simply updated your PayPal address. The most common scam with PayPal is when someone hacks an account and then asks to have the item shipped to some other address. The seller loses the money and the item that was shipped. That's why sellers ship only to the PayPal registered address. Even then the seller will likely lose out in any dispute, but to have any chance of any kind of seller protection the seller must ship to the PayPal verified address.

A simple "I'm sorry I didn't communicate regarding your shipping request" would have gone a long way. And thanks for asking 5! I was beginning to think this sub forum was completely devoid of humanity.

I see you've only sold one item here, maybe you don't realize it, but when the seller gets the email from PayPal there is an address in the email. It says "Jim Bob sent you $666 USD" and then at the bottom of the email is the "Shipping Address" section. That's what I use when I go to the post office or UPS. If someone requests another address and then I get a different verified address, they get a refund.

I have shipped to other addresses in the past, but it's been to people that I've talked to first on the phone or people that I've done other transactions with in the past.

I would give them the benefit of the doubt that they just went with the Paypal email address by accident. I know I would be very sorry if I did it. I bet an apology is still on it's way. Of of course I'm an Optimistic silver lining kind of Man.

I prefer to ship to PP Verified Addresses. I have to wonder why you wouldn't update it?

I suggest you might consider doing that.

I have a ton of feedback on TB. I couldn't agree with you less on your views of your transaction. Update your PP addy...it takes 2 minutes to login, change it, drink 1/2 beer, and log out. Maybe the seller should have confirmed the address with you or maybe he shouldn't, but in the end you only have yourself to blame.

Bummer, but as said already a PM is easily lost or forgotten. An apology on the part of the seller might be nice, even appropriate, but certainly not required, so why bother asking for one?

Nukes, I feel for you man, and I think an apology isn't too much to ask for as long as you're not asking for a refund or other compensation. Get that PayPal info updated bro so this won't happen to you again.

I was disappointed that the seller didnt read or respond to my PM.

This is why you should have updated your Paypal address. It even shows you the shipping address before you send money. Had you done that, it would have been irrelevant that he didn't read your PM.

it would have been nice of him if he had shipped to your requested address (assuming he received and read that request). unfortunately for you, he did not and you are still wrong.

are you quite sure he received and read the PM? perhaps this is a communication issue.

it would be nice of him to offer remorse for the situation. you are still wrong.

IME, when you make a PP payment, you have to verify what your shipping address is.

Why would you make a PP payment with an incorrect shipping address?

In this case, the customer is not always right.

Sending a PM with another shipping address is the least secure way to conclude a transaction.

I so suggest for future TB sellers to possibly include in their sale description, "Paypal verified shipping addresses only" if that is the only address acceptable to be shipped to.
