40 basses

Hey Ant, I read somewhere where you said you own 40 basses. My question is what do you do with all of them? Do you possibly still play them? Do you have a system of rotation? I would love to see your collection.

I do play all of them. I give them all different roles for teaching, studio, clinics, local gigs and touring.

I have '78 Precision that I only use in the studio for an old school R&B feel and for old school Reggae.

I have basses that I use for Funk and I have basses that I use for Rock.

And remember that as a teacher I want to 'mirror' the student. So at Bassology I have 4, 5, 6, 7 strings basses. I also have fretlwss basses and tenor and piccolo basses at my school.
