Anthony Wooten and Victor Wellington

OK, pardon the title At the end of your set last night, I noticed Vic was playing a 5-string:

I told my buddy, that's odd, I never knew him to play a fiver... then I look over and guess who's playing Vic's 4 string:

Cool show Ant, thanks!

Sorry for the crappy cell-phone pics. Here's one of Ant's solo:

We just swapped basses. I have him mine and I took his.

Victor plays 4, 5, 6 and fretless. And he plays all if them well.

He just chooses to play a 4 string bass live. But on his recordings you here it all and he tours with two 5 string basses with the Flecktones.

Yeah, I figured out you swapped as soon as I saw what you were playing

Cool info, I don't know much about his playing with the Flecktones, actually.

Looks like your playing through a Fender amp and Victor a Hartke. I like Hartke but I hate the alum speakers. Their paper cone or 1/2 paper are a lot better though.

Yea, I agree. He's an incredible accompanist as a bass player. But his 'out of this world' chops make people not notice that.

Yeah, I need to see more of it. I also think Ant is an incredible accompanist and one of my biggest inspirations.
