Bowing a harmonic and stopped note on the same bow.

I am struggling a bit getting a clean stop when playing a harmonic and stopped note on the same bow when taking faster passages. My teacher says it's a feel thing and it will come, but there are a couple of pieces that I have been working on and otherwise very much enjoy except for this little wrinkle.

Can anyone offer any advise? Does anyone do anything unique in this situation or is it simply a feel thing?

I don't get any sense that it is a bow issue. I don't think I am loosing any string energy.

More specifically, it is the noise that happens when the finger that is to stop the note hits the string before it is able to push it to the fb and cleanly stop it. There is a sometimes a false harmonic or otherwise funky sound during that brief interim.
