Chordal Players

I was wondering if you guys could suggest to me some people who have really incorporated chordal playing into their soloing and comping? I'm hoping to get beyond the occasional use of a major and minor tenth.

I know there aren't to many people to my knowledge who have explored this because of the difficulty of keeping chords in tune on a fretless instrument but I'm really interested.

Two guys I can think of are Omer Avital and Jimmy Garrison.

I'd check out Red Mitchell and David Friesen. There are a lot of duet recording by both players which makes it easier hear whats going on.

I've seen Neils Pederson use chords before, in a bass duet with Christian McBride. Its on youtube, check it out.

yeah i forgot to mention red. I've seen the NHOP and McBride thing before and its not really what i'm looking for I guess, mostly just the "baisic tenths" thing I was talking about. I'm looking more for people who really incorporate a chordal approach into their playing in general.

Don't get me wrong though I absolutely love NHOP and everybody else, I just want to see some people who are going with more than the occasional tenth in a line.
