Cleaner Articulation

So I play a 7/8ths Chinese ply monster
It sounds big, but it's not particularly clean or delicate
I get a lot of compliments on my sound, but I'd really love to be able to focus it a bit more - what do you guys do/work on to tidy up your pizz sound?
Higher/lower action? Different strings? Playing nearer the bridge/neck?

I would say put your action as low as possible while still getting the sound you want, the higher it is the more tension/less sustain. Make sure you are not squeezing in the left hand, pull with your shoulder. Nearer to the bridge tends to be more articulate.
Also, make sure you are putting in time on the bow, more in tune = a clearer sound.

Left hand is pretty relaxed
If I'm swinging low down on the bass flat fingered for the big mwah sound, but as I get higher I get more diligent about using the fingertips
Working on keeping my shoulder up, I have a bad habit of resting it on the bass as I approach the D/Eb
Right hand is 90% full length of index finger, adding in the second finger if I need it for speed
I usually get an hour of bowing in most days
