Diminished scales

I have loads of jazz bass books listing all the scales anybody could possibly need. I have good finger patterns for most of these, but not for the diminished scales.

Can anybody help with a good finger pattern without too many shifts?

Newbie solution: Putting the trichords on adjacent strings (124), seems to work for either diminished scale (WH or HW). (E.g., C D Eb/ F Gb Ab/ A B C)

I think it's easier if you shift a lot. I don't know if it's common to do it this way, but I just play 2-4, 2-4, 2-4, etc. going up one string. Ex. A-Bb, C-Db, Eb-E, F#-G

Hey try this fingering, Gdiminished:Estring:G, Ab, Bb, B - Astringb, D, E, F-
Finger: 1, 2, 4 4 1, 2, 4, 4
D string: G, Ab, Bb, B
1, 2, 4, 4

And so on! When you are going up the g string, use the same fingering and jump to index finger......
