Left Hand Finger Injury

Ten days ago I hurt my little finger (pinky) on my left hand, two hours before my gig (musical in London) and couldn't get a Dep, so had to play with two fingers,( for some reason I couldn't put any pressure on my third finger.) It turns out I have something called a Mallet fracture, its also known as a Baseball fracture, but we dont know about such things in the U.K. Anyway Im still strugling on two fingers as the show only has two weeks to run. It seems I have to keep a splint on for Eight Weeks!!!

Just wonderd if any of you had come across this or had similar experiences?

By the way it is realy hard to play with two fingers!

I bet it is! I'm glad it isn't more serious or permanent. I've never experienced anything like that, but good luck and don't let it get you down!

Thanks Will. I'm trying not to let it get to me, but you can't help but worry!

As with any injury... if you can... let it rest. Take a few days off. And once you start playing again, be sure to strech. Even if not injured, its always a good idea to strech
