I'm going to copy this on a note card and paste it to my music stand. Thanks for the free lessons. Stuff like that usually costs me $50.

Who said that it was free? You have to pay by imparting yourself to the board as well

OK another update on this arco situation:

I thought it was going to be so much harder, but just a few minutes a day practicing all the pointers you guys kindly gave me made me realise what my trouble was. I was squeezing too much with my thumb, middle and ring fingers and not transfering enough weight from my arm to the stick with my index finger. I just needed to relax a bit and everything started to come out easily (well, easier).

Thanks so much for all your help and sorry if this was too "begginer-ish" for you. I've only been playing arco for like 4 or 6 months now and not as often as I would like to.

Anyways, hope all of this helps others in the same level as I am.

Thanks again, you rock! (or swing)

Talking

Yeh I know I'm not going to be playing Botessini anytime soon, but I'm happy I'm no longer making the bass sound like an animal in terrible pain. Those looooong notes help you realise what you're really doing with each part of your hand and arm and give you time to correct things along the way.

Hope my "official" school gets that DB they promised soon so I can stop attending two schools an concentrate more with the DB. Long story and belongs to another thread.
