I just read that while trying to sip a glass of wine. Sprayed liquid out of my nose and mouth all over the computer screen.
Yer funny.

<ahem>

Sorry for the derail.

I use all of the aforementioned possiblities (and maybe a few others) depending on what I'm trying to do (walking vs. a two step, etc.) I bet most players are like that.

Yes a hard question to answer. In the options, there wasn't a choice of "thumb and first finger" ...

I've never tried to pizz while doing a two-step. Not sure my wife would like that. Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me ...

1 finger most of the time, so I put that. I do use 2 occasionally as well though.

By the way, I'm new here.

I can't vote in your poll. The selections only allow one selection to be chosen, not multiple selections. My pizz style varies, sometimes even in the same song from using one finger (using either the index or the middle finger, just one at a time) and sometimes using two fingers (index and middle) alternatively.

1or2 for slow stuff, 1&2 for fast stuff, 1,2,3 for some skips, 1&3 for some chords.

One for slow stuff and walking-- two for faster and/or quick crossings. I put 1 finger in the poll. Hey, even Ray Brown used two fingers for faster passages and he's reputed to be the quintessential "one-finger" guy.

Same for me - I usually find that polls are constructed with so little though that most people can't answer!

Other - just seems a cop out ...?

Tucker, can't you stop taking the pizz out of this serious, scholarly poll and just answer the question?

Seems like I spend most of my time (especially at work) pizzing up a rope.

Yeah, and he's doing it at 4:30 too, you just can't see his right hand.

Great playing, but I still don't call that pizzicato!
