Sorry to dig this back up, but I found it searching for an ASCAP jazz standards songlist.

FWIW, I know several artists (myself included) who are on ASCAP and BMI (we were on BMI) who have never received a penny. I know that we were receiving serious radio airplay, mostly on college and PBS radio stations in the early 90's...never did a single check or BMI rep contact us. We were getting attention in Europe and Japan, but I don't know about what ASCAP and BMI do in other countries. I am talking about U.S. radio airplay....

I think there must be a better way to see the actual artists being played receive royalties.

I think Larry is on to something....
