Nice playing. One thing- do you know the lyric to both tunes? Your variations are lovely, and very horn-like, but it's nice to hear the melody at some point with phrasing that fits the lyric. A listener who knows the tune will thirst for this, and varying from a sung melody should (IMO) be a conscious choice rather than default. Notable exception for Ahmad Jamal, but he was being cute, and toying with the audience. Are you digging on or working with singers?
