Go to artofthebow.com and you can probably sneak a peak at how Francios Rabbath holds his.

There are a variety of "right" ways to hold the bow. What aspect of your bow hold are you unsure of?

Check up these taken from a Jeff Bradetich video (if you're interested in classical technique, you should get his videos and books, they are quite complete and instructing).
Here and here.
Hope this helps.

There's some very good information about French grip here:

http://www.uvm.edu/%7Emhopkins/strin...thandmenu.html

Scroll down the page to find the bass-specific info.
Good description and pictures from many angles.

Note: I originally found this page while browsing at Bob Gollihur's double bass links page. If you don't know about this great resource already then see what you're missing at: http://www.urbbob.com/basslink.html

I got just a copy of the art of the bow and I have to say it's fantastic. It covers everything from the basics of holding the bass to the finer points of the bow. Also included are interviews with Rabbath on his philosophy on teaching and practicing. Well worth the money I spent on it.
