Two Octave Fingering

Okay, I went to Bob Gollihur's site a while ago and found these two octave upright scales. http://www.doublebass.biz/scalesbass.pdf As you might imagine I was happy, but upon further examination I discovered that I have no idea how to read these things. I know how to read notes, thats not the problem. I dont have any idea what these numbers mean! All I'm looking for is where to place my fingers so I can get good two octave scales.

Please help or suggest other sites and tell me how to read these things... thanks guys.

The numbers are finger numbers.

That being said, its not going to help, you need a LOT
of training before worrying about scale fingerings.

Get a double bass teacher, then all these things will
come at their proper time and you wont have to fish
here in cyberspace for answers
