Funk means a lot of different things to a lot of different people... some stuff I think of reading this thread isn't James Brown and his genre... but grooves to a back beat.

... and are also the reasons I made the jump into the world of real basses.

WOW!!! Thanks all for the funky upright links, but I got caught up in Bireli Langen's playing. That is some nasty guitar playing....!!!!
