I just got a Warwick thumb 5, and it needs new strings desperately. Id really like to use bassstringsonline, but I've never owned a Warwick, or a bass this nice. I don't have a clue what strings to get for it. I see lots of talk on the forums about getting tapered strings. Any advice?

Now I noticed that my strings action is higher . I looked and made sure the saddles and strings were in there places and all was good but my action. Is this typical with stringing thru body vs. standard bridge stringing ? I must mention the strings are the same gauge too. so what gives. |

Must press down on the strings so they are completely at a straight angle from bridge to nut.... This is mostly a concern on the heavier gauge strings even on top loaded instruments. This is why tapered and exposed core bass strings exist to create a smoother installation.
Once pressing down on the string over the saddle you will notice the action drop, and intonation need to be reset. |

If you set the intonation while the strings were curved then you would have to adjust.
Something that should be easy to do for every bassist. |

I'm kidding about being to lazy but honestly I screwed one of my high enders up once doing a full set up and told myself never again ...lol but intonating is a no brainer and prolly should be done everytime I put new ones on. by the way order sent :-0 |
