Gig Bag storage

I was just wondering what people do with their gig bags when they're not on their instrument. They are just too big and bulky! My family doesn't appreciate it when I leave it spread out on the living room floor, but folding/rolling it up and putting it in a box creases up the zipper, making it harder to zip, and one of these days I'm sure it will get ruined. The room where my bass is (on my Hercules stand--the best stand IMHO) has absolutely no extra space. I would appreciate any ideas.

I hang mine in my closet, but you are right, they are bulky.

Mine hangs in a spare closet. Just buy a double ended hook that hangs from the rod.

I bought a few of those ladder hooks at Lowes. All three of my bags hang in my "Bass"-ment closet!

Folded (it was folded when I received it) & stick it behind the couch.

I sometimes like to hang them on an open door.

Maybe install a coat hook somewhere in your bass room so that it can hang from that unobtrusively. Maybe behind the door or in a corner.

I put my bass in a corner of the room inside the gig bag if I don't need it for some days.
If I use the bass regularly, I have a mat on the floor where it can put it down. Then I put the gig bag (folded at the end of the neck) standing up inside the room corner during that time. (The third "wall" is the side of the 15" box of my old amp, so it doesn't slip out of that niche.)

But I was thinking using a metal hook on the door (like for wardrobe) to hang it up there, just not practical in my case because the space behind the door is already occupied.
