1999 FNA JAzzman
I have a chance to get a 1999 Warwick FNA Jazzman. The bass is in very good condition.I would be trading my 2010 Fender P bass and about 230.00 in cash and taxes. Good deal? I am looking to up grade and perhaps work my way up to a Amebic, So is the Warwick on the right path. Does anyone know much about the 1999 version of this bass, where it's made, etc. Thanks
discontinued model made in Germany.
1999 = slightly chunky neck although I am a fan of the chunkier necks = more tone
If you want an Alembic I say save your dough and buy and Alembic.
If you want to try an amazing bass with some of the most versatile usable electronics of all the Warwicks and growl and do hundreds of great tones do it. It is not a poor mans Alembic it;s just a great Warwick. Both unique and amazing in their own rite.
Couldn't have said it better--Thanks Means,
Both are definitely great--With an FNA, you are getting a versatile bass capable of a number of tones and uses. If it is un-modded, here are some of the features you're lookin at:
Swamp ash body Bookmatched AA flamed maple top Corvette body design 3-piece ovangkol neck Wenge fingerboard MEC MM humbucking pickup Basslines 3-band active electronics
Best of luck with your decision--I think it is worth it!
FNA and FNA Jazzman are/were two different beasts- I don't recall the Jazzman being made in 98
I have a 2003 model FNA Jazzman. You will not be disappointed with the trade, and that seems like a pretty good trade money wise.
