All in all, it's a really sweet bass that has grown on me quite a bit. I really dig the vintage sound with teh Warwick growl. Demo - Artist Series Jack Bruce Survivor |

Thanks for the post. | There's a demo for that coming; had one recorded previously, but the audio level on the recording was clipping a lot so it's out. Last thing I want is someone to think the clipping from the mic level is actually from the amp, which is isn't; this thing is CLEAN. |

I talked with GHS, and we're going to be making a lot of audio samples for them to use on Soundcloud that will focus on many of their bass strings, and we're using this bass for it. |

We're going to do some clips of seven different sets of strings, in various styles to hopefully get them a fairly robust collection of samples that will be easy for anyone to be able to compare/contrast with what their tonal goals are.
And to think, it was initially between this one or the AS Stuart Zender (which I kind of still lust for). |

Enjoy the JB! | Oh, I plan to. I'm in talks to play in a production of RENT at a local equity theatre, and the Jack is going to be on that gig. It just HAS to.
As for the Zender, there's always next year... That is, if the wife doesn't shoot me. |

Here's the latest article that I've written for Bass Musician Magazine, reviewing the JB and going over a little bit more that the video may not have covered. Take a look. I took some time over the holidays and modded it a little; put on a Hipshot DeTuner, installed a JAN I nut (which I've always loved), and also sanded down the neck a bit, so it has a satin finish now, and is super super super smooth and slick. |
