Aside from the B not being as stiff as I would like they are nice, bright strings.
I haven't used the Warwick strings. I like the idea of a .135 B, but I've heard some mixed things about their tone and durability. |

The corporate line from Warwick is that anything bigger than a .120 has trouble fitting in the tail piece of the bridge, and to use tapers. I've heard some people say they have to crimp their strings with some pliers to get them to fit. |

it seems to the right gauge for me; i like a little flexibility in my strings.

The taper ends before the bridge saddle even if you screw the saddle all the way back. |

| | | | This is probably bad/frowned upon but On my warwick thumb 5 I love the Spector stainless steel tapered set. I get them on amazon for 27 bucks shipped and I LOVE how they sound. They are nice and tight and 27 for a 5 string tapered set.... I tried the warwick black labels but MY OPINION is them spectors..... |

I've just never played a set I like. It's just personal preference. I've even known people to play both warwick and spector basses. That's just fine too. At least so long as the spectors are backups and Warwick's are #1, obviously.

I've got two warwicks, and am looking into adding a Spector to the wall in my music room. Not a big deal to me!
