Had the Thumb BO wenge/wenge since last year, and just pickup up the $$ in St. Louis last week. The pups and me love the pups. Read that however you wish...it works both ways. =)

Bonus: check out the $$ tailpiece that needs filing to fit my Elixirs.

Steelin4you, I use all kinds of strings on m Wicks besides black labels and no need to file anything. I promise you it will not damage the string but just crimp with a vise-grip or what I do go out in the garage with a hammer and tap it down a few times make it skinny in fits right in...I have been doing this for years and years never broke a string there from it.

Good suggestion...knowing how the core attaches to the ball end, I don't know why more string brands aren't as wobbly looking by the time the outer wrap gets over it, like the Elixers always are. Well, I'm going to try your idea...thanks for the post!

Oh and I forgot to mention that there is one small mod I'm running the SD preamp at 18v ... I am considering replacing the gold hardware with all black. Anyone out there want to trade?...
