Steelin4you, I use all kinds of strings on m Wicks besides black labels and no need to file anything. I promise you it will not damage the string but just crimp with a vise-grip or what I do go out in the garage with a hammer and tap it down a few times make it skinny in fits right in...I have been doing this for years and years never broke a string there from it.
