IMO you can't hear the sound of a Thumb bass anywhere better than Mudvayne for fretted and Obscura for fretless. In my mind those are definitive Thumb sounds.
What are your favorites? |

It was throaty and meaty, and was the gateway into looking into the "sound of wood." |

Stuart Zender with Jamiroquai is also great for SS2, as is Dirk Lance with Incubus.
I do find that Streamers can be a little harder to pin down, perhaps due to different pickup configurations. |

That, and COME IN AND BURN really inspired me. Have you heard the album, WEIGHTING? Rollins released all of the outrages and songs that didn't make the initial album, which really bordered on some free jazz at moments. Easy to see why they were cut, but both albums together give a great picture of that band. |

+1 Dirk Lance Incubus!
Check out "Art Metal" with Jonas Hellborg, most likely a Warwick of some sort. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKC8O...qARlOzPP3dMmOQ

Makes me smile and reach for the closest Warwick in the room... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJdPMPvpKfw
