Bartok Rumanian Folk Dances

I'm new, but I figured that this was as good a place to start as any. In my Youth Symphony Orchestra (lack of age does NOT equal lack of intelligence, please do not act like I'm stupid, although you probably weren't going to) we played Rumanian Folk Dances. I dunno, I guess I'm looking for any comments or really anything about this piece (we're finished with it, so no help needed there). Help with the Marriage of Figaro is welcome as well.

I remember playing these in with the All-City Orchestra back in high school. The only tough part, if I can recall correctly, was the thumb-position part that went something like this:

D F# A F# D F# / D F# A F# D F# / E D C# B

All the Ds are the middle D on the D string. The F#, A, and E are above the middle D. The C# and B are below the middle D.

It's a breeze for me nowadays, but I didn't know anything about thumb position back then.

Never played Marriage of Figaro.

Hope that helps.
