Bartok Violin Duets Arranged for Bass

I just learned that there is a bass arrangement of some or all of the duets that Bartok wrote for two violins.

Does anyone know a source for the music (I didn't see it in the Lemur online catalog), or the name of the publisher?

Thanks!

Pete

Not sure of the edition you are talking about. I have seen someone do a few of them bass/violin duette and bass/flute.

I did happen to find this:

I have the edition of 18 of the duos arranged for two celli, published by Boosey and Hawkes.

How do the Bartok's sound on the bass? Is it possible to play the cello edition at (sounding) pitch, or do you have to transpose it down the octave?

Some need to be played at pitch being written very low for the cello. Others can be played either way. I don't see any note higher than written E above middle C.
