| Bass and classical guitar Hi,
I'm planning a recital with classical guitarist/composer. We are going to play mostly his music, which is going to involve some electronics and depending on what he ends up writing, perhaps another instrument or two.
The recital is going to be for a rather diverse audience, some of whom will have a ear for contemporary music and some will not. This guy writes really cool music, but not exactly easy on the ears of an inexperienced listener. I'm trying to find a few things to soften up the program a bit, while still staying relatively current, or at the very least 20th century.
Anyone care to share some of their successes in the bass/classical guitar department? We're not necessarily limited to just bass and guitar, so I'm open to hearing any suggestions for small chamber music, transcriptions. I've searched the threads a bit and most of the bass guitar duo stuff is on the jazzier side, which isn't really my guitar players thing (if only it was).
Thanks
