Bloch Meditation Hebraique

I have Bradetich's recording "Double Bass Portraits" and he Plays this Bloch piece that I really like and now want to play for a recital next spring and I was wondering. Is this piece difficult to perform? (I am an undergrad student and just played Dragonetti and the prelude and minuets from the Bach cello suite in G major). Also, is there an edition that stands out above the rest that I should buy?

Hey Bethelbass1, I read your profile. Keith Green (the father of Christian rock) is the man. Praise God!

Sankey did a transcription of it, I picked it up last year. Never got through it though, it is a very difficult piece to put together in my opinion. Its a wonderful piece though, and Bradetichs recording is amazing.

Bloch is a very hard composer to play emotionally. As well as tackling the technical difficulties in a piece such as the Meditation Hebraique, you would also have to tackle a very emotional style of playing. It is definately not easy music.
