Book of Beethoven Symphony Bass Parts?

Does anyone know if there is a book being published that contains the bass parts from all of Beethoven's 9 symphonies? I have to think there is something like this out there considering that these parts have been somewhat of a standard for bassists for over 150 years.

There is a book but I forgot the name. Look at http://imslp.org/index.php?title=Cat...rsect=Symphony

I didn't check if all the parts are available for all symphonies, but I guess they are complete.

"The Complete Double Bass Parts of the Beethoven Nine Symphonies" published by Oscar G Zimmerman.
Also available as Excerpts only.
Lemur Music and others carry it, maybe even your local music store has it or can get it.

Lemur has the Zimmerman/Beethoven excerpt book for $21.95. For a few bucks more you could get a CD Rom from Cherry Classics that has the Beethoven excerpt book and a whole lot more. http://www.cherry-classics.com/Bass_..._data_base.pdf

BTW, I have encountered several discrepancies on bowing between the Beethoven book with the nine symphonies and the book of excerpts. They are both Zimmerman...

BUT keep in mind that the fingerings given are from the 20's to early 50's and written for the old set up - high nut and bridge and gut G & D with gut and metal wound A & E.

The complete symphonies book was edited by Oscar Zimmerman. The excerpt book was edited by Fred Zimmermann (with 2 "n's")

Oscar was in St. Louis, Philadelphia, NBC, & Rochester. Fred was in the NY Phil.

The Musician's CD ROM library is a cost effective way to get the parts, but there are no bowings or fingerings. I have a few of the Beethoven symphony parts on my website with MY preferred bowings and fingerings. Your preferences will vary.
