Bottesini - Gran Duo Concertante in orchestral tuning?

I would really like to play this piece with a violinist friend of mine, the problem is I have just one bass and need to stay in orchestral tuning for everything else I play.

Is there an edition of this piece that will allow me to stay in orchestral tuning? I had considered transposing the thing up a step, but all the arpeggios played with harmonics are very idiomatic to the key it is written in.

If anyone knows a way to get around this, please let me know!

Thank you!!

I don't think such an arrangement exists. But if you just want to rehearse with the violinist and no accompaniment, have the violin tune down a half step and you tune up a half step. It's wacky, but it'll work. You probably don't need to tune the E string up.
Howz school going?
