Cimador Concerto?

Has anyone played this before? It seems pretty obscure. I've looked for information on the composer, but can't really find much (Grove dictionary a little bit). I was wondering if anyone had some information, because I chose to write program notes for it for a class. Also I was wondering if there's any recordings of it out there. It's a pretty cool piece. If you haven't played it, you should check it out. Cheers!

Ooooh! I'm playing that. It's good isn't it! I think there is a recording by ChiChi Nwanoku but other than that I'm not sure. I haven't found it yet. I think its just a generic concerto, there isn't a great deal behind it as far as I know. Let me know if you find anything, though! xxx

there is a reason why the concerto is so "obscure" it's because it's a horrible peace and should never be played for the remainder of human existance

I played it for my first year recital. It's a really nice piece of music.

I played this piece in school. I don't think it's horrible, nor do I think it's great. Pretty good for learning, and enjoyable enough.

If I remember right, Cimador also went by "Cimadoro", so you might search for that. He's definitely a minor composer, due (I think) to a mediocre gift for melody. Isn't the first movement melody just a bunch of triads separated by scalar runs?

EDIT: Please let us know if you find a recording by Nwanoku, I'd definitely give that a listen.
