Do you know Frank Proto's "Ode To A Giant"?

Ode To A Giant for solo bass and narrator has been highly recommended to me for a recital piece. Have you played it? Are you familiar with this work? I'd love to hear from others who know it.

Do you have the sheet music to it? I bought it with some extra cash I had just to see what it was like because I'm a huge Proto fan. I worked it up and as far as difficulty level, it's about on par with the Sonata 1963. The piece made much more sense after I heard the recording of it too. The rubato nature makes some of the really intimidating licks easier to pull off knowing you have some time in which to do it. The hardest part for me was going from naturale, to ponticello, to col legno and back again. I wanted to program it for my upcoming recital in April, but I just didn't see it fitting into the general program that I wanted to present.

No, I don't have the music, but I would like to order it.
