double bass quartet

Hi,
Anyone know of any music that sounds good for a double bass quartet? Level-wise, I'm looking for anything from intermediate on up.
Thanks.

Suite & Low

hey fuminator -

check out Suite & Low : Suite for Double Bass Quartet.

I can't remember the composer, but it's really cool. I would say it's about intermediate. The first part has some tricky stuff but it's not too bad if I remember correctly.

I'd also look into the Collin Brumby Quartet for 4 basses. I played it in the past. Really awesome work. I would say that the only issues are all rhythmic. Fascinating piece none the less.

I think it's Daryl (sp?) Runswick.

Thanks for the ideas guys! I'll check out some of that music.

Anyone ever play Bach Chorales for a few basses?

Thanks again,
F

Tony Osborne has a few really nice pieces. I think Ludwin music also has quite a few nice pieces published. If all else fails start arranging or composing
