Dvorak Romance in f minor (violin)

The Dvorak Romance in f minor for violin and piano has always been one of my favorite works. Today, I bought the music (Schirmer ed.) and just played through it. It lies surprisingly well, even the double stops. I think I'll program it. It's great music; you should grab a copy and give it a try

The opening for violin is third space C; I play that as middle C on the G string and take the whole thing down proportinately. I know the entire solo part will be under the piano part; gonna do it anyway.

Here are parts one and two of Perlman playing it on violin:

This sounds like a great idea. I might buy it first for my ladyfriend (who plays violin) and see what I could do with it.

Beatiful... Seems like it might lay better transposed higher tho. Just a thought. I hope that it goes well.
