It's prabaly a good idea to just buy it. That way you will be ethical in your behavior and you will be supporting the the concept of "intellectual property"

I'm fine with paying for IP

Yeah ... I get that thanks. I just dunno if might be in the public domain space yet. Carnival of the animals was composed in 1886 and Camille Saint-Saens died in 1921.

Stefani,
Do a google search for Saint-Saens "The Eliphant". After seeing it mentioned in another thread, I was interested in trying it out and was able to get the music off the internet with both treble and bass cleff from a free sight. I don't know if it's note for note correct, but I figured it would give me a starting point. Unfortunatly I can't remember the sight that I found it, but it was a "honest" sight.

vance vol 3

Oh now everybody knows what I'm doing. Vance vol 3 has the bass part alright -- but not the piano accompaniment. It's the latter that I'm looking for. - Mark

The piano part for Eleplant is available separately in the Volume III Piano Accompaniment book for Progressive Repertoire. separate from the bass book, that you can get at George Vance's website and other vendors as well. Its just not free.
