Dear Friends and colleagues,
I've been working for some tiem on a biography of a Spanish virtuoso bassist who existed between 1863 and 1969. His name was Josep Cervera Bret and if any of you were at the ISB convention perhaps you might have heard or seen some event promoting the music of this composer-bassist and or Leon Bosch performing it in a recital.
I've had the priviledge of looking at the archive for a while now and I have, with the permission of the family of the composer, been able to put some music up arranged and transferred to software notation by me on Calimeo.com.
I'm happy to share this work with you all for free and you'll be able to download the music very easily but I would only ask that you also please visit the site http://josepcervera.net
and "like" the page please. There's no obligation to do this but I would plead to the sensitive musician in us all in order to spread the word about this composer and bassist to everyone out there that might be interested and might benefit from the research and work done. I have, in other instances , benefited from similar altruistic endeavors and thought I might also help out the bass community.
Also, if there are any comments, questions, or critiques regarding the scores or the contents of the web I'd be very happy to receive them.
Here's the link to the scores: http://es.calameo.com/accounts/398042
Thanks in advance for any comments,
