Yup, that and my RB Vol1 was destroyed in a flood last month !

Is this an "inside" bass player's joke - as this is famously a tune, where the bass stays on one note for the head!!??

The downside is, after Miroslav recorded this track, bandleaders now feel free to ask the bassist to play the head on FJD, as if it just lays beautifully on the bass. I'll admit it; I worked this one out on the slab first, just to see how to get through it without killing myself.

If you're comfortable in fourths across the fingerboard, and a little stretching and shifting here and there, it's not too hard.

well, i might be able to do that. 4ths look like minor 3rds whe nyou tune in 5ths.

just don't blindfold me ok ?

Well, MARCUS AURELIUS i'll meet you halfway there.

I've got it down in TP the head and my solo. I'm going to the studio friday morning to record but don't think i'll get it to Damon by friday afternoon.

Pizz, no arco is the halfway thing..


You're just going to have to settle
