Harmonics

Hello,
I'm looking for a double bass piece that features lots of harmonics. I've never really played anything with lots harmonics (they seem to be few and far between) like that so I thought it would be interesting to learn. thanks

Bertram Turetzky has a piece called "Reflections on Ives and Whitter" it is all Harmonics. He has a shorter one called "Nancy" that has harmonics and left hand pizz that is really nice.
Stefano Scodanibbio has some great harmonic pieces but I am not sure if they are published and available yet.

The F. A. L. J. Keyper Romance and Rondo is the piece I used to first learn basic harmonics.

If you're looking for a contemporary piece:

"In Deepening Light" (db + piano)
c. Rodney Sharman
available from http://www.musiccentre.ca

Written for Robert Black btw - great piece and not performed enough.

When I think of Bottesini I think of harmonics.

In poplular music, I realized that I could play "Ashokan Farewell" (the theme from Ken Burns' "Civil War" series) nearly entirely with harmonics.

Now don't come back here complaining about rosin on your fingers : ).
